Built at the end of a 400-metre long driveway, the Matta Building is over twenty stories high - mainly occupied by offices - and is one of the twelve structures that have completely redesigned the image of the Nueva Las Condes complex in Santiago. This building literally covered by glass is distinguished by its curved angles. The lighting project by Paulina Sir draws attention to this aspect, positioning a series of PYROS adjustable projectors with narrow spot and anti-glare screen in the median strip that runs along the entire perimeter of the structure.
This tasteful solution does not affect the architectural cleanness in the day light, and, at night, has made this modern building an identifiable and cherished symbol of the city. The steel wire mesh that characterises, even aesthetically, the main hall takes on a special brilliance with the light of the adjustable projectors suspended at different heights. This solution also draws attention to the three-dimensional effect of the installation. In this case, Targetti’s FOHO PRO projectors were used fitted with Mastercolour light bulbs.
