Based in Bogotá - Colombia, VERDI is a textile studio that creates homeware, fashion and artworks by mixing natural fibers with metals and other contemporary materials. Their 400m2 showroom, recently inaugurated in an industrial neighborhood of the city, is based on a totally different concept than that of usual showroom spaces; it is rather an exhibition space offering an immersive theatrical experience to be lived in different stages.

The project was developed in collaboration with local architecture firm Colette Studio and the overall design, that was based on a legacy of both family and traditional Colombian craftsmanship, came to life with the help of Targetti. Alongside handcrafted homeware, the VERDI showroom is home to real pieces of art. The space does not immediately reveal itself but through a sort of “peeking in” tunnel where the brand’s signature materials, metal and fique, scenically play on the ceiling and on the floor, dramatically lit and high-lighted by Targetti ZEDGE PRO fixtures. The tunnel leads to an impressive open space where textures, metal, fashion and art pieces embrace the brand symbol hanging over visitors’ heads: the VERDI’S Tree of Life. Made of woven copper threads and raw fique fibers this stunning installation is the center piece of The VERDI Showroom. KEPLERO MINI inground projectors in the DALI version create dramatic lighting effects through different lighting scenarios. On the walls, contemporary artworks and precious pieces of the VERDI collection are lit by LABEL and ZENO DBS projectors. Equipped with the innovative DBS technology the ZENO projectors allow to vary the lighting beam adapting the effect to the different needs of a fascinating and versatile space.
